A dad is…someone who provides, protects, inspires and encourages. He also plays the role of superhero, human ATM and the coach of any sport.
So whether it's Daddy, Papa, Pop, Pa, Father, or Grandpa, here’s to making his day a little more special.
The thrill of the grill
Fire up the BBQ and cook for Dad! Here’s an easy and delish recipe for grilled flank steak or skirt steak:
Mix together in a bowl or glass jar:
½ C olive oil,
¼ C Lemon juice
2 cloves minced garlic
1T dried minced onion
1 ½ t salt
1t ground black pepper
1t sugar
½ t dry mustard
½ t dried rosemary
¼ t ground ginger
- Place flank steak in a zip-top bag and add marinade. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove flank steak from the marinade and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade
- Cook on preheated grill, turning once, until firm and slightly pink in the center, 5-8 minutes per side. Slice on a diagonal across the grain to serve. (Credit: AllRecipes)
